The Not-So-Final ‘Conjuring’ Movie Is Coming to HBO Max in Time for Thanksgiving

The Conjuring: Last Rites is coming to HBO and HBO Max just in time for Turkey Day, especially good news for those who prefer to stream horror movies instead of football games.

Starting November 21, the most recent of the Warren family-focused Conjuring Universe films will debut on HBO Max. Though it was previously touted as the last Conjuring movie, Last Rites‘ box-office success sparked talk of a prequel. While we wait to see what happens with that, this emotional entry—which sees Lorraine and Ed Warren (Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson) coming out of self-imposed retirement to take on one last supernatural investigation—still feels a lot like a farewell to the series.

The movies are more like fanfic inspired by the real-life investigators; a lot of creative liberties were taken, but the end result gave us Wilson and Farmiga as a horror power couple. Their performances as the married crusaders against the dark demonic forces added a romantic element to all that ghost-busting (but don’t call them Ghostbusters).

Last Rites broke records at the box office, including the largest global opening for a horror film, making the Warner Bros. and New Line series the highest-grossing horror franchise of all time. And now you can catch it along with the rest of The Conjuring Universe, which started with director James Wan and his take on the Perron family haunting in 2013’s The Conjuring. To mark the milestone, HBO will broadcast a binge-worthy marathon on its television vertical the day after Last Rites hits streaming.

Here’s when the films—scheduled in timeline order—will play on HBO November 22 leading up to The Conjuring: Last Rites premiere.

7:35 a.m. ET: The Nun
9:15 a.m. ET: The Nun II
11:08 a.m. ET: Annabelle
12:50 p.m. ET: Annabelle: Creation
2:43 p.m. ET: The Conjuring
4:38 p.m. ET: The Conjuring 2
8:00 p.m. ET: The Conjuring: Last Rites

Annabelle Comes Home and The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It are also available on HBO Max, if you want to make this a complete series marathon.
