You’ll Soon Be Able to Own Your Very Own ‘Star Wars’ Loth Cat

A Loth Cat is for life, not just for Life Day, but in time for Star Wars‘ own spin on the holiday season, Disney and Lucasfilm are about to give you the chance to ask “why not both?â€

Today Lucasfilm revealed that the Disney Store and the Disney Parks will introduce a new, scaled plush replica of Sabine’s pet Loth-cat Murley from Ahsoka, as part of their high-end Galactic Archive Series. Although Galaxy’s Edge has sold Loth-cat plushes before as part of the array of cutesy critters you can “adopt†at Batuu’s creature stall, this Loth-cat is significantly bigger, and features both touch-activated sounds and multiple points of articulation.

Posing the Loth-cat (which features Murley’s spotted fur print from Ahsoka, but by all means, feel free to name your own whatever you so desire) either standing or lying down will generate different sounds activated by simply petting the Loth-cat on its head or back. Lying down, the cat will respond to pets with purrs drawn from Ahsoka and Star Wars Rebels (which first introduced the cats as native wildlife of Ezra Bridger’s homeworld, Lothal), while petting it when standing will elicit growling noises.

On top of the sound features, the new Loth-cat has poseability in its leg, head, tail, ears, and an opening mouth, so you’ll be able to arrange your newest plush pet however you desire. One thing that Disney is staying quiet on so far, however, is the price—but considering the Galactic Archive line is meant to be for collectors, you can probably expect this to hoover up quite a few of your credits if you want one. Maybe put it on your Life Day list?

The Galactic Archive Series Loth-cat will be available both within Disney’s parks and online at the Disney Store from 8am PT on November 17.
