Battery life might not be the flashiest feature in a pair of wireless headphones, but it’s still one of the most important, and as such, the battle for battery life supremacy is a heated one—a heated one that just got quite a bit hotter, actually.
House of Marley, which is a brand that sells eco-friendly audio products owned by Rohan Marley, son of Bob Marley, just unveiled a new pair of headphones that is touting some serious battery longevity. The Positive Vibration Rebel headphones (yes, really) are claiming a 130-hour battery with active noise cancellation (ANC) off and an even more impressive 75 hours with ANC on. That figure beats out even the Marshall Monitor III, which can get an impressive 70 hours with ANC enabled and 100 hours with ANC turned off.

What’s even more wild than that battery life is the fact that House of Marley’s new headphones aren’t ridiculously expensive either. The Positive Vibration Rebel headphones will debut at $149.99, but if you’re in the U.K. you can take advantage of a special promotion and get them for just $99 right now. That’s a pretty good deal considering the aforementioned Marshall Monitor III with ANC MSRP for a whole $380.
Whether these headphones actually sound good can only be determined by listening to them, but they come with 40mm drivers and are compatible with Bluetooth 5.4. Also, if eco-friendliness is top of mind for you, you’ll be happy to know that the headphones are made with FSC-certified wood, meaning the wood is cut responsibly from forests using fair labor practices, and incorporate recycled aluminum as well as “eco-conscious fabrics.†The ANC that I mentioned before is also adaptive, meaning it can shift depending on the noise levels in your environment.
Ultimately, there isn’t much that jumps out on paper with these headphones outside of the battery, which, if that’s your number one priority in a pair of headphones, should make the Positive Vibration Rebel worth a look regardless of your feelings on roots reggae. You can order these headphones on Amazon or through House of Marley starting today.
