If you go to the theaters for movies, you’ll probably have a busy fall ahead of you. Good news: it’s about to get bigger, because Godzilla Minus Zero is coming to the US on November 6.
On Friday night, distributor GKids—which previously released Shin Godzilla back in 2014—revealed the date, which will hit three days after the film’s Japan release on November 3. Along with honoring the date of the original Godzilla movie’s date back in 1954, Minus Zero will be the first Japan-made film to have a near-simultaneous release window between the two countries. As for other countries, stay tuned for those release dates in the coming months.

In a statement, GKids president David Jesteadt called it an honor to release Godzilla Minus Zero in North America. “This next chapter is sure to become another defining moment for the most colossal monster ever to dominate the screen. It is only fitting that this bold, new Godzilla event be experienced in its fullest theatrical glory, and we’re honored that Toho has entrusted us to carry this legacy forward.â€
Toho’s still mum on Zero’s story and cast, but we know it’ll be set after 2023’s Godzilla Minus One and continue the King of the Monsters’ “undeniable legacy.†We also got a new key visual, this one showing the film’s logo against a cloudy background with a few flashes of blue. You can check that above, and we’ll have more on Godzilla Minus Zero as news emerges.
