What Happens at Night
Deadline reports Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio are attached to star in What Happens at Night, Martin Scorsese’s adaptation of the Peter Cameron ghost story novel, at Apple and StudioCanal. The story follows “a married American couple who travel to a small, snowy European town to adopt a baby. They check into a cavernous, largely deserted hotel where they encounter an enigmatic cast of characters, including a flamboyant chanteuse, a depraved businessman, and a charismatic faith healer. Nothing is quite as it seems in this strange, frozen world. As the couple struggle to claim their baby, the less they seem to know about themselves and the life they’ve built together.â€
Slime
Deadline also has word Willow Smith, Teyana Taylor, Anna Sawai, John Cho, and John Boyega will star alongside Scott “Kid Cudi†Mescudi in Slime, an animated monster movie in which Smith plays lead character Muna, “an optimistic but broke young woman who signs up for a paid clinical trial, only to be injected with a mysterious creature’s slime that unleashes destructive powers she can’t control.â€
Dead Drunk
Deadline further reports Josh Miller & Pat Casey (Sonic the Hedgehog, Violent Night) are dangling a pitch for Dead Drunk, “an original horror comedy†in which “a newly divorced empty-nester is coerced into taking a wine tasting tour by her free-spirited best friend. Subsequently, the two women find themselves trapped at a vineyard with a terrifying secret. As they struggle to survive, they discover an ironic twist that could be their key to making it through the night. Their only hope? Staying drunk to stay alive. They’ll worry about the hangovers if they live to see the dawn.â€

Bloody-Disgusting has a poster for the vampire cop thriller, Night Patrol.

According to Deadline, Brandon Perea has been cast in a leading role for Insidious 6.

Deadline additionally reports Kenan Thompson and Johnny Ryan Jr. have acquired the remake rights to Robert Hiltzik’s 1983 slasher, Sleepaway Camp.
