Deadline reports Sony Pictures has “pre-emptively acquired the rights” to Arrival screenwriter Eric Heisserer’s debut novel, Simultaneous. The story concerns “a past-life regression therapist and an agent from the Predictive Analytics department of Homeland Security who become unlikely partners when they discover a phenomenon tied to reincarnation, uncovering a supernatural killer exploiting his own past lives.”


From Below

Deadline additionally has word Alyla Browne will star in From Below, a monster movie from director Sean Loch “set against the backdrop of the Australian outback.” The story concerns “15-year-old Riley (Browne) traveling across the outback with her father when they come across two seemingly abandoned cars at an isolated desert crossing. When an invisible force drags her father away, Riley finds herself in a life-or-death struggle against a terrifying creature that is only visible to its next victim.”


Supergirl

During a recent interview with Nerdtropolis, David Krumholtz stated Supergirl is “very true to the graphic novel that it’s based on, Woman of Tomorrow. Which is great.”
